When the boys get the camera.... : Oct 25

... here is what you get:

A nice close up of Andrew's teeth...

.. and ear!

And now, I think Cameron had the camera. Very seductive pose there Andrew!

Working the footwear angle..

What a ham!

Ugh! What an angle... Mom, putting away the coats...Thanks for that, Cameron!

Tiergarten : October 24

It had been months since we'd visited our neighborhood animals, so we were all happy when our sweet friend Gwen asked us to go with her. :)

The Shaggy Donkys had a baby!

--Gwen took all the below pictures--
My Cameron checking out the pot-belly pigs.

These goats always crack me up. They're so loud with their 'MAAAAA' screaming at you for some treats.

Busy Boy!

My big boys.

Perhaps the highlight of the tiergarten is the 50cent digger machine. We're all hooked on it.

This boys takes his work *very* seriously!

What happy bystanders (after they'd already had their turns!).

Me & my gang.... William is under Cameron. haha!

Family Visit! : October 22

I'm was so happy to have my awesome dad and step-mom come out to visit us! We had a great time showing them a few of our favorite places and our boys were so happy to get to know their Grammy and Poppy a bit better.  I am so sad though-- I accidentally formatted my camera card (first AND LAST time I'll make that mistake!) and erased ALL of the pictures from their visit. A friend was able to retrieve some of the pictures, but this is really the only one that survived. I'll take it. :)

little muscle : oct 18

Every now and again, when they boys are quiet... you know, too quiet... I'll find them "putting on their muscles". Hmm. Wonder who their father is. They change into "muscling" clothes, put on every one of Nathaniel's 6 deodorants (don't you know that is how little guys make their muscles bigger?!), and apparently do their hair too. It's hilarious!

 Nice form, William, nice form.

 Oh, the hair!

Uh. Looks like we need to work on Cameron's posing skills.. haha!

That one is a little better.

Funny boy! One time Cameron came down to proudly show me his new hair do... I couldn't figure out what product he'd used at first... and then realized he'd put toothpaste in it!

Mom & Daddy getaway! : Oct 11-14

Nathaniel and I conned politely asked our dear Nina to stay with our boys for a few days so we could get away, child-free! Oh, it was lovely! We stopped at this old Roman church on our drive down to Garmisch. It was beautiful.

An old painting, painted directly onto the wall.

They must have been celebrating... something? Harvest? This cool design was made all out of seeds.

*not comfortable in front of the camera pose*

Exterior of the church. I was wishing I had a wide-angle lens on this trip. ;)

We LOVE Garmisch. It's so beautiful. We were excited to visit Lake Eibsee again (first visit HERE). It was so cool; when we arrived the entire mountain was hidden by fog!

 Hello, good lookin'!

N admiring the foggy view this October...

... and Tamar at the same spot summer of 2011. :)

So Beautiful! Reminded me of Northern California.

 Practicing being a poser.

 Handsome Man.

After our chilly walk it was time to get some hot chocolate and dinner!

I really love the beautiful murals on buildings!

Phantom Boar. ;)
N was driving along the road we take every day to get to the autobahn one evening and thought he saw a small bear, and then realized it was a boar. He tells us this story *every* time we drive that way with a "watch out! who sees the boar?!"Tired of this, I dubbed the alleged creature the "phantom boar". Seeing this one in bronze somehow seemed to add credibility to his story? haha!

 Anyone want a guineapig/bird/stag?

This guy was seriously good on that trumpet!

 Mmm! Appetizing window displays..

Yum! Alcoholic jam! ....?!

A sunny morning view! There are those alps I know and love! *heart*

Dude, I so want to go to this bar. Who puts up a sign like that in the US, let alone Germany?!

McDonalds has a seriously YUM breakfast menu. The hot chocolate packet says Schoko Träume... which means dream, but it pronounced (and is really more like) trauma... not far off (with the sugar content), but tasted yum!

My favorite Hot Chocolate connoisseur.

Driving view.

haha! we're nerds. German License plates all start with which city the car is registered in. On our drive back we stopped in Ulm-- which has the highest cathedral spire in Europe.
A bitty church to the side of the massive cathedral.

The ladies side of the seating.

 I loved this painting.

My reverent husband...

From 1490. Older than every building in America.

I liked the way that this cathedral dispelled their candles for prayers. Usually there are stands for tea lights, but Ulm has sand trays where the candles are placed in.

Beautiful!

Would it be too much to put a ceiling like this in my house? Yes? Dang it.

Woah. That guy is a bit overwhelming.

1/2 the cathedral. I needed a much wider angle! haha
