Bird Park

December 19

We LOVE all the little animal and nature parks that are in nearly every town here. Another favorite (to the one behind our house) is a free bird park in a town next to ours.

Sizing up the geese

Not a great shot-- but see that goose's tail? :

So pretty! What a fancy goose. :)

William was... grumpy this trip. haha! It was a very cold day, and that did not sit will with him, apparently.

These are all point & shoot camera shots... which is why the focus is on the fence not the bird... but! cool bird, right?
The playground-- always a hit. :)

Did you ever realize how TALL an ostrich is? These things are huge-- and scary.

The most beautiful GRUMP you'll ever meet.

Rosy noses from playing in the cold. :)

Cameron, the generous, gave me a ride on this FUN playground toy.

Ward Christmas Party

December 3 (watch out-- I'm on fi-yuh!)

This year our ward had a pajama party for the Christmas party and had it in the morning. I thought it was a great idea and a lot of fun! Our boys get Christmas Eve PJs and since this party was obviously before, I squeezed them into their jammies from last year. Worked well enough for the older two, but poor Andrew... looked like he had shorts on. ;)

Before the party, I tried to get some shots of my boys. It was... unsuccessful but entertaining, nonetheless. :)

Oh, Tannenbaum....

Dec 2. Seriously making progress here... ;)

Forgive the cruddy picture quality. It's the memories that count! When Nathaniel came home from work one fine afternoon he surprised the family by taking us out to our local Christmas market! YAY. After-- he then took us to our neighborhood Real (our Target equivalent-- though maybe a little less cool) to pick out a tree! The market was PACKED and it was quite the struggle to push our wagon full of children through the masses. We stuck to the outsides of the crowd, got our crêpes, took a couple turn on the merry-go-round and headed out tree hunting.

gaggle of geese

Dec 1. Let the catch up games begin!!

Andrew is definitely enjoying his 3 hours a day being an only child. :) It's fun to get some one-on-one time with this energetic little man!! On this particular fine December day-- we headed out to visit our favorite animals.

Andrew's thoughts on goats.

The geese didn't like Andrew at all... maybe they were threatened by his pumpkin hat? They were all honking at him, and he was entirely unfazed...and even danced to their beat:
