Nathaniel was a hero and took work off for my birthday. We were lucky and had incredibly beautiful weather (unlike right now when we're all freeeeezing). :)
We invited some little friends to go with us to Taunus Wunderland (which later turned out to be closed-- whoops), but started the morning with breakfast and a stop at the park.
Squished!
Since the amusement park was closed, we went to the Wiesbaden Fasanarie that was fortunately only 5 minutes from there. :)
This hill is so steep!!
If you zoom in, you'll see bear feet behind that tree. :)
Who knew baby warthogs were so cute?
Little Monkeys-- just doing their usual!
I love all the zoos here-- you buy animal food at the gate and can feed most of the animals, and many by hand.
Andrew kept trying to tempt this one, but he wasn't interested!
Sharing is caring!
These were the animals (reindeer?) that so impressed us last time we came here. They seemed perfectly happy to stay in the shade, so Nathaniel made up an animal call to get them to come over...
Cameron helping with the animal call. haha!
And! Hilarious enough, it worked. haha.
See the fuzzy antlers?! So soft and crazy.
Aw-- us, so cute and pregnant (18 week here)!
The boys kept themselves entertained finding pinecones, etc to throw into the little pond.
Andrew was *exhausted* this day, but naturally refused to nap in the car on the way there (having friends in the car is too exciting!). He kept falling all over the place, scraping both knees and shins, and finally lost his balance and fell backwards landing with his head and ear into a park bench. Ouch! Poor kid!
Believe it or not, these aren't the tears from that fall-- they're just a tantrum over a pinecone. My sleepy boy!
Checking out their pond decorating skills.
Ah... and the ride home. :) What a great birthday! I'm such a lucky girl to have all these loving boys in my life!
