Park and A Fall: Mar 2

Nathaniel headed out of town for a pre-birthday trip with a friend, so I was left to my own devices with the boys. One day I built up some ambition to take them to a park with a friend. The sun was bright, and I felt like junk so I only took these two pictures.

Busy getting out some energy destroying someone else's sand castle.

William keeps coming home from the school library with craft books (heaven help me!). I finally relented to let him make this mask craft. He wore this mask all. day. Everyone else at the park thought it was hysterical. :)

A couple hours later at the house William was still wearing this mask and his "fast shoes" (some Puma's). He was practicing some "rad moves" from a Backyardigans episode by spinning on the tile floor when he lost his balance and hit his head HARD. I grabbed him to the couch with a cool pack on the growing goose egg and was stunned when W kept asking me how he fell. It was quickly evident he'd lost all memories of earlier that day (including his precious mask!) which had me completely freaked out. Fortunately, within 1/2 an hour or so he had it back-- so I just kept a close eye on him for the next day for any other signs of concussion, but he was fine. THANKFULLY. Gosh, these kids!
