Day 3: Bayeux

May 22

Just a beautiful church we passed on our drive!

Monuments like this are all over the place!

After visiting the tapestry we ran across the street to visit the cathedral just before it closed.

Neighborhood canal.

Beautiful sculpture over the platform where the priest speaks.

Cathedrals always amaze me. They're so magnificent and breathtaking, yet cold and impersonal.

Close up of the paintings on the ceiling.

The carving work was incredible.

The Crypt. We can never resist visiting, though there is never anything eerie or haunting about them. Most of the time they're empty, like this one.

After that it was dinner! I got a quiche.. which was not the best France had to offer, but that's alright. :)

My honey!

William picked and actually ate this pizza bread. I tasted it and you couldn't have paid me money to finish it-- that was some strong cheese!
